Tutoring
Building Skills. Strengthening Confidence. Helping Students Succeed.
Tutoring & Academic Support
Every student can make meaningful academic progress when given the right support, encouragement, and opportunity to practice.
Our Tutoring & Academic Support program helps K–12 students strengthen essential skills in Mathematics and English Language Arts (ELA) through structured instruction, individualized practice, homework assistance, and technology-supported learning.
Students receive support based on their individual learning needs. Whether a student needs help catching up, reinforcing classroom concepts, completing assignments, or advancing beyond grade-level expectations, our goal is to meet students where they are and help them move forward.
Our academic programming emphasizes:
- Mathematics and ELA skill development
- Homework and assignment support
- Individualized and small-group learning
- Technology-supported practice
- Academic confidence and positive learning habits
- Measurable skill mastery and progress
We believe academic success is about more than completing homework. It is about helping young people develop the knowledge, confidence, discipline, and perseverance they need to succeed in school and beyond.
Stronger skills today. Greater opportunities tomorrow.
By the end of summer 2025, the program had been open for 122 days and delivered 30 weeks of programming. From November 2024 through the end of August 2025, the program met its service goal 111% of the time. This goal was calculated by determining the proportion of days each program site reached its proposed youth attendance relative to its required minimum operation days. If a grantee has more than one site, the result will be an average across all sites. The table below summarizes our operation goal and actual service provision. Appendix B illustrates the details of our operation schedule by program site.
| Our Grantee | School Year | Summer |
|---|---|---|
| Program Site(s) in Operation | 2 | 3 |
| Minimum Operating Days Based on Funding Level | 80 | 24 |
| Actual Operating Days | 70 | 52 |
| Minimum Number of Youth to be Served per Day | 30 | 45 |
| Average Number of Youth Served per Week | 12 | 42 |
| Total Unique Youth Served | 17 | 63 |
| Service Goal Reached | 111% | |
